What you will do

Provide support, automation, and infrastructure expertise for all aspects of the Sensormatic Solutions SaaS offering. Expertise will be centered on Cloud (particularly, but limited to GCP) environments, with specific emphasis on Linux, Kubernetes, security, and CI/CD pipeline automation.

How you will do it

* Provide on-going administration of GCP, AWS, Linux, and VMware systems.
* Subject Matter Expert for the organization on DevOps and the technology infrastructure foundation - specifically this will be expertise around Cloud, Instance level Security, automation and monitoring tools, and basic infrastructure / networking interaction.
* Continuous improvement around automation tools and processes for Infrastructure as Code - specifically TerraForm, Puppet, Spinnaker, Spacewalk, Ansible, and other tools as needed.
* Build and deploy servers in an automated, scalable fashion in external cloud solutions (such as GCP and AWS).
* Monitor, tune and respond to system alerts and backup reports.
* Ability to identify inefficiencies and automate repetitive tasks
* Participate in 24x7 on-call support rotation.
* Work off hours periodically to accommodate maintenance/downtime windows.
* Help in designing and implementing infrastructure security principles
* Strong written skills to develop and maintain system documentation.
* Interact effectively with development and network teams to resolve problems during project planning and implementation phases.
* Manage multiple concurrent tasks, both administrative and project based.
* Collaborate with vendors to manage hosted environments.

What we look for

Required

* BS in Computer Science or equivalent work experience. Work experience significantly more important than education.
* 7+ years of Systems Administration work experience preferably on Linux, Cloud, and VMware in a SaaS customer facing 24x7x365 environment.
* Linux: any of RedHat/CentOS/Ubuntu
* Automation tools experience: Any of TerraForm, Puppet, Spacewalk, Spinnaker, Chef, Jenkins, etc.
* VMWare ESXi
* Strong knowledge of standard UNIX services such as NFS, SMTP, DNS, Syslog, SNMP
* OS installation, upgrade and patch management
* Cloud Administrative experience (Any of AWS, GCP, Azure, etc)
* Information security concepts
* Basic network troubleshooting skills

Preferred

* Shell scripting - Perl, Python or Ruby scripting a plus
* Containerization experience a plus, Spinnaker / Kubernetes experience a plus
