Lead Development Engineer- Analytics Technology Development

Job Description

This position is in the Analytics Technology department. The candidate will be responsible for architectural design and implementation of application environments, applications and services needed to support the D&B Analytics and Scoring strategy. These environments and applications will require coordination and leadership of the technology teams needed to implement Big Data solutions, design & develop Hadoop and Java based applications. Primary responsibilities will focus on providing architectural and technical development. This position will serve as a subject matter expert and architect in support of Global Data and Analytics research, development, and ongoing production support.

Key Responsibilities:

* Translates business requirements into system requirements, should be able to recommend/propose various technical solutions based on the experience and best practice
* Extensive hands-on in developing code, guide developers, perform code review. Documentation and presentation on various aspects to broader audience
* Strong knowledge in various/different programming and/or scripting languages, able to recommend enterprise standard development practices
* API platform standards, like REST Principals, Spring Boot, Micro services
* Experience with best practices for scalability and performance of distributed and big data solution
* Performance tuning/testing, memory management
* Any No-SQL framework knowledge, preferable SOLR & Zookeeper), Big data knowledge/hands on experience are value addition
* Experience with monitoring, backup, and disaster recovery of data systems.
* DevOps to an extent, individual should be aware of API platform deployment strategy e.g. CI/CD, GIT branching strategies, release management, & etc.
* AWS Services - architecture and deployments on EC2, S3, IAM roles, Networking, ALB, Auto Scaling groups, & etc.
* Act as a Product Owner and Scrum Master - adapt the custom Agile practice followed within the team.
* Define project road map, plan, effort estimation/cost estimation, ensure projects deliverables on schedule time (aggressive and proactive), risk management & etc
* Experience and Knowledgeable to mentor team
