National Grid is hiring a Senior Developer of Digital Delivery in the Waltham, MA headquarters.

Job Purpose

The Gas Business Enablement project is a major long-term investment in our US gas business to enhance compliance and to improve customer service, rate case strategy and performance. This program is a significant undertaking for our business as we standardize and simplify our operational processes, upgrade the technical systems they run on, build on our compliance programs in a rapidly changing external environment, develop and enhance how we use technology in the field and ensure we have the right talent and resource plans to successfully deliver to our customers.

This role will work closely with end users and development teams to understand requirements and develop fit-for-purpose solutions in WorkForce Software® (WFS) that will increase business efficiency and performance. This role will apply software development industry standards and best practices to leverage WFS to meet the customer's documented business requirements for timekeeping, scheduling and labor tracking. This role will also contribute to the architectural design for integration of the WorkForce Suite with other business applications such as Salesforce and Maximo.

Key Accountabilities

* Architect and build integrations for WorkForce Suite
* Custom configuration of WorkForce Suite
* Development of custom reporting WorkForce Suite
* Work directly with Product Owners to understand and prioritize requirements
* Work with program Architects to define the solution
* Work closely with developers supporting integrations, Salesforce.com, and SAP
* Lead efforts on handling Break/Fixes for an existing solution as well as creating enhancements to support future requirements

Capability Requirements

* Excellent oral and written communication skills
* Ability to develop technical solutions based on documented customer requirements
* Demonstrated leadership in a dynamic, customer focused team
* Receptive to end user feedback and committed to continuous improvement

Qualifications

* 7+ years of programming experience utilizing any Java, JavaScript, C++ or other similar programming languages
* 3+ years of working with SQL and writing complex queries
* Software architecture and integration experience
* Comfortable working with database servers
* Experience capturing technical requirements from customers
* Familiarity with WorkForce Software

Preferred Qualifications and Experience

* Experience working with agile teams in a SAFe/scrum environment
* Familiarity with SAP, PeopleSoft, or Oracle
* Lvl1 Certification Training Preferred:
* Experience with SalesFrce

* PT002 -Wrk with WorkForce
* PT003 -Tenant Manager Essentials
* PT102 -WrkForce Time Configuration Essentials
* PT105 -Standard Prduct Overview
