Job Description

Overview

Princeton University's Office of Information Technology is looking for a highly-skilled Senior Developer/Analyst I to join its Center for Data, Analytics and Reporting (CeDAR) team. The Senior Developer/Analyst develops high quality business intelligence services and applications. This position also works closely with campus customers to gather requirements, analyze needs, and ensure the successful delivery of business reporting and analytic requirements. The responsibilities of this role also include testing, maintenance, and customer support.

Responsibilities

* Supports the ETL environment using IBM DataStage
* Creates metadata models using IBM Cognos Framework Manager
* Supports the analysis and documentation of business requirements and implements Business Intelligence (BI) solutions
* Supports clients in the use of various BI tools and utilities
* Provides standard and customized BI technical and functional training
* Supports the security model and report distribution options

Qualifications

* At least 3 years of experience designing and developing Business Intelligence solutions, including hands-on development using an enterprise ETL tool (IBM DataStage preferred) and an enterprise metadata modeling tool (Cognos Framework Manager preferred)
* Familiarity with RDBMS technology (Oracle preferred), including the ability to read and write SQL
* Experience in data warehousing
* Strong interpersonal skills, and oral and written communication skills
* Ability to work effectively in teams
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
* Ability to multi-task between and among projects and applications
* Ability to communicate effectively with a diverse user base having varied levels of technical proficiency

Preferred Qualifications

* Experience in web and Internet technologies, HTML, XML, JAVA, and JAVA script
* Experience in Tableau

Education

Bachelor's degree or equivalent, related work experience
