Candidate is expected to be familiar with Oracle database development, automation, documentation, UNIX shell scripting, PL/SQL programming, and ETL processing. Candidate must have good analytical, verbal and written skills. Strong SQL, PL/SQL development and tuning skills are required. Good understanding with OLTP system, perform tasks related to full software development life-cycle. This includes planning, analyzing requirement, designing solution developing code using Oracle12c, SQL, PL/SQL packages, stored procedures, functions, SQL Scripts, SQL* Loader and Unix K-Shell Scripts.

Responsibilities:

Development of PL/SQL procedures, functions and packages and reports for OLTP and Decision Support functions. Responsibility includes, but not limited to:

* Development of processes and jobs to support an enterprise marketing system.
* PL/SQL programming must follow Industry coding standards
* Work according to approved statements of requirements and detailed specification.
* Create technical design documents, codes and unit tests all project deliverables.
* On a weekly rotational basis, carry an on-call phone to support the existing process and applications
* Work with the Quality Assurance group to support their testing efforts.
* Able to handle large data files and batch related processes.

Qualifications & Experience:

* Minimum 7 years of hands-on experience working with Oracle database systems on UNIX
* Experience working with Oracle 12c
* Development skills must include sound knowledge and experience in Oracle SQL, PL/SQL.
* Able to write Shell scripting
* 4 year degree in Computer Science or Information Technology (or equivalent experience)
* Experience working with Oracle objects such as Varrays, object type, associated array is a must.
* Solid understanding of software development lifecycle including data analysis, data modeling and data testing to be able to write quality unit tests and assist the data validation process.
* Development skills must also include good knowledge and experience in Database Design and Data modeling.
* Good working experience in SQL tuning.
* Experience working with Connect Direct NDM

Preferred:

* Experience working with large data sets and/or high transactional volumes
* Experience with COGNOS reports is preferred.
* Experience working with TOAD or PL/SQL developer is preferred.
* Experience developing large data conversion or ETL processes
* Experience in version control and Microsoft Projects.
