Ibotta is looking for a Senior Data Security & Protection Analyst to build something great with us. As part of the Data Services team, you will work to ensure that Ibotta's data asset is securely managed and well-protected at all times. This role serves as a foundational member of the larger Data Management function and presents a great opportunity to be part of a highly impactful and influential team in a fast growing and dynamic area
Here is what you'll be doing:
* Driving Ibotta's Data Security & Protection strategies, tactics, and execution * Performing data security audits, risk assessments and analyses * Making recommendations for enhancing data systems security * Researching attempted breaches of data security and rectifying security weaknesses * Formulating security policies and procedures * Planning, implementing and upgrading security measures and controls * Establishing plans and protocols to protect digital files and information systems against unauthorized access, modification and/or destruction * Performing vulnerability testing, risk analyses, and security assessments * Anticipating data security alerts, incidents and disasters and reduce their likelihood * Defining, implementing and maintaining corporate data security policies * Training fellow employees in data security awareness and procedures * Working in partnership with other data governance and management functions to define and execute Ibotta's holistic data lifecycle
Here is what we're looking for:
* Bachelor's degree (or greater) in Computer Science, Engineering or a related field or equivalent work experience * Expert-level understanding of data security and protection technologies and best practices * Extensive experience implementing & managing data security programs and policies * Detailed knowledge and experience with AWS data security controls, procedures, and best practices * A background in a data-related discipline (e.g. DBA, Data Engineering, etc.) is a big plus * Clear and coherent verbal and written communication skills. Experience documenting, writing, and communicating data security policies and procedures * A passion (bordering on obsession!) for protecting data against any and all threats
