This position is for a Senior Data Engineer who will support the design, implementation and integration of OLTP/OLAP systems. This primarily includes building and enhancing ETL processes and related databases, and providing support in a Microsoft SQL Server 2012 environment.

Primary Responsibilities:

* Create and manage databases, data marts, including all SQL Server Objects such as tables, views, stored procedures, triggers, etc., according to business requirements
* Create and maintain data load and extraction processes primarily utilizing SSIS and Stored Procedures, and automate via Control-M
* Architect databases and load processes for reporting efficiency, while implementing best practices for database development and ETL
* Optimize queries, stored procedures, indexes and SSIS packages to improve performance
* Execute and support processes and jobs to meet deliverables in a timely manner according to SLAs
* Participate and contribute to design sessions and code reviews with other team members
* Assist business analyst and QA with requirements clarifications, testing and documentation as needed
* Work on multiple projects simultaneously in a fast paced environment
* On a rotating basis, participate in a production support capacity, facilitating deployment initiatives and monitoring jobs
* Analyze/profile Revenue Cycle Practice Management System data, document and discuss findings
* Work closely with the DBA team to support jobs and assist with production deployments
* Perform on-going research to explore new features, versions, and related technologies, and provide recommendations to enhance our offerings

Required Qualifications:

* Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related degree
* 5 solid years of experience in Microsoft SQL Server (2012/2016) - SSIS, T-SQL, Stored Procedures
* Visual Studio (BIDS/SSDT) / TFS experience
* Experience with database and/or ETL architecture, design and optimization
* Experience handling multiple projects simultaneously in a fast paced Agile (Scrum) environment

Preferred Qualifications:

* Healthcare industry (Practice Management Systems) knowledge
* Experience or knowledge of BMC Control-M, Pragmatic Works (Bi Xpress, TaskFactory), BIML, and Cloud technologies (Azure)
* Strong communication skills and strong organizational, multi-tasking, and time-management skills
* Ability to work closely with development team
* Excellent problem solving, analytical, and troubleshooting skills
* Possess a strong work ethic and a high level of professionalism
* Professional and customer service oriented
