Work you'll do

As a Senior Security DevOps Engineer, you will be helping us secure the cloud platform behind customer experience and marketing data solutions for our clients. We're a fast-paced Agile environment with a strong focus on adopting modern "DevOps" technologies that enable us to build a highly reliable, resilient and available infrastructure. This is a great opportunity for a senior level security professional to make a mark in a start-up like environment as we build a new business within Deloitte and take on a leadership role!

Major responsibilities:

* Design and implement new cloud environments, services, and application architecture modifications which are secure and meet industry standards.
* Be Vigilant about security and adhere to best practices to secure our cloud infrastructure and real-time platform.
* Serve as an SME on all security matters in the DevOps organization in HUX.
* Regular penetration and vulnerability testing of our applications and resolution is issues.
* Plan and perform security patches on our applications and underlying infrastructure.
* Help secure our data and access policies to reduce risk.
* Maintaining compliance with policies and regulations such as GDPR
* Design authentication, authorization and identity access management solutions with appropriate access policies across our cloud environment and third-party applications.
* Identify security breaches, bugs, and attack attempts by log aggregation and analysis via tools such as Splunk.
* Setup monitoring and alerting; develop ways to improve.
* Participate in daily scrum and planning as part of our agile practices.
* Document and advertise our Dev(Sec)Ops ideologies within the company.

Requirements:

Required:

* Limited immigration sponsorship may be available
* 5+ years of related technical experience in Cybersecurity, preferably in a Cloud Environment.
* 5 + years of experience with Programming and Scripting Languages (Bash, Python, Powershell, and similar).

Preferred:

* Bachelor's Degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Information Technology, related field or equivalent work experience with a focus on security; Masters preferred.
* Experience securing corporate networks and VPNs.
* Experience with Wireshark, nmap or other packet level inspection tools.
* Some experience with log analysis (Splunk) and reporting- preferred.
* Experience with infrastructure automation (Cloudformation, Terraform) and configuration management tools (Ansible, Chef, Puppet, and similar)-preferred.
* Experience with security and systems administration in Windows and Linux based operating system environments.
* Prefer hands-on experience with DevOps deployment strategies and tools (Jenkins, TeamCity, Bamboo, AWS Code Pipeline/Deploy, and similar)
