Seeking a candidate with experience in Configuration Management (CM) processes, processes and tools. The CM candidate will be supporting C4 Undersea Systems (C4USS) market segment programs with implementation of CM requirements, processes, and procedures.

Support all aspects of the LM RMS Enterprise Product Data Management (EPDM) engineering change review and approval process, including processing Problem Reports (PRs), Engineering Change Notices (ECNs), assist Configuration Control Boards (CCB) Chair in preparing agendas, administrative, technical and CM reviews of engineering documents such as parts, cable, and mechanical drawings, Bill of Materials, and other baseline work products. Co-chairs or independently Chairs CCBs as required.

Provides support to multiple ASW program CCBs, often high volume, requiring rapid turnaround to support production or other urgent program delivery requirements. Overtime may be required at times to support urgent program requirements.

Basic Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree (technical discipline preferred) or substantially equivalent experience in Configuration Management and engineering change management.

Must have an understanding of life-cycle CM activities and EIA 649 standard.

The candidate must have the ability to apply CM principles in a development and production environment.

Ability to work as part of a team, in a self-directed manner and independently make quick, accurate decisions for engineering changes to drawings and other engineering baseline documents.

Demonstrated background and experience (min 2-3 years) in a lead or key configuration management role with experience in change management.

Demonstrated experience and knowledge in engineering drawings, parts lists, Bill of Materials (BOM) as well as standard drafting practices. Have an understanding or knowledge of related disciplines, particularly familiarization with Hardware Engineering methods and processes.

Have the ability to conduct and facilitate Configuration Control Boards (CCBs) to manage changes to hardware baselines.

Have some experience with processing Class I & II Engineering Change Proposals (ECPs) and related processes.

Must have the ability to interface with, and build strong relationships with, multiple levels of management, subcontractors, onsite customers, and various program disciplines.

Demonstrated ability to interface with and work well with cross functional teams and peers, and ability to energize the team.

Demonstrated strong verbal and written communication, coordination, and planning skills. Strong presentation skills. Strong troubleshooting and problem solving skills.

Proven or developing leadership skills including ability to manage projects, tasks, and coordinate work assignments for others. Ability to multi-task and delegate work as required.

Demonstrated high level of computer literacy in standard tools including MS Office, SharePoint and other Enterprise collaborative data repositories (i.e. Windchill).
