Position Overview/ Responsibilities:

We are looking for a Senior Codec Engineer who will design, implement, and debug software for video compression technologies on different platforms. Candidate must be familiar with the block-based hybrid video coding standards (MPEG-2, H.263/MPEG-4, and H.264), and with other issues related to video compression such as motion estimation, file formats, audio/video synchronization, and color-space conversion. A good foundation of mathematical knowledge is highly desirable. In order to communicate with our partners and customers, the Senior Codec Engineer will also be responsible for writing technical documents on the design and implementation of various video encoding/decoding algorithms.

Qualifications:

* Solid experience in writing video compression and video processing software
* Good knowledge of block-based hybrid video coding standards
* Good overall knowledge of the issues involved in video compression
* Ability to write complex technical documents
* C/C++ (minimum of 5 years experience)
* Video compression technologies (MPEG-2, MPEG-4, H.264)
* Video encoding experience
* Video for Windows
* DirectShow
* DirectX Video Acceleration (DXVA)
* Mac OS X knowledge is a plus
* QuickTime knowledge is a plus
* Ability to multi-task and work in a dynamic environment
* Troubleshooting and complex problem management
* Excellent team player with strong work ethics, and capable of working independently in a fast-paced development environment
* Bachelors degree in Computer Engineering or related area, Masters preferred
