Job Description

Design, develop, troubleshoot and debug software programs for databases, applications, tools, networks etc.

As a member of the software engineering division, you will assist in defining and developing software for tasks associated with the developing, debugging or designing of software applications or operating systems. Provide technical leadership to other software developers. Specify, design and implement modest changes to existing software architecture to meet changing needs.

Duties and tasks are varied and complex needing independent judgment. Fully competent in own area of expertise. May have project lead role and or supervise lower level personnel. BS or MS degree or equivalent experience relevant to functional area. 4 years of software engineering or related experience.

Location: San Jose, CA or Redwood Shore, CA, or Santa Clara, CA or Pleasanton, CA or willing to relocate to the area.

Oracle Analytics Cloud provides the industry's most comprehensive cloud analytics in a single unified platform, including everything from self-service visualization and powerful inline data preparation to enterprise reporting, advanced analytics, and self-learning analytics that deliver proactive insights. We are the Analytics metadata lifecycle management team, which focuses on analytics data modeling and metadata management for Oracle Analytics Cloud.

This is a Senior C/C developer position. The developer will work on the data modeling application and Oracle Analytics server running in the Cloud.

The developer should;

* Share knowledge/experience with colleagues

Responsibilities:

* Design and implement new functionalities for analytics metadata management required by

Oracle Analytics Cloud

* Improve the data modeling application for Oracle Analytics Cloud
* Analyze the root cause of intrnal/external issues and solve them in the first place.
* Create and maintain technical documentation and wiki pages
* Review and provide the feedback for the check-ins (implementation/bug fix) made by other

developers

Qualifications:

* BS/MS in computer science or other relevant technical degree
* 6 years demonstrated experience in application development using C/C
* Expertise with Database and SQL language
* Expertise with multithreaded programming
* Expertise with both Windows and Linux platforms
* Proficient with STL (Standard Template Library)
* Experience with Java programming
* Experience with Microsoft Visual Studio/MFC (Microsoft Foundation Class)
* Experience with cloud-based enterprise product development
* Good at analytic and problem-solving skills on application design, development, infrastructure,

and cross-module issues

* Ability to quickly learn and develop expertise in highly complex existing applications

and architectures

* Familiarity with Agile Scrum or similar methodology a plus
