Senior Business Analyst / COO (Quantitative Market Making and Flow Indexation) (SG Americas Securities, LLC, New York, NY)
Mission
Use strong communication skills (verbal and written) in supporting the Equity Derivatives Americas Trading and Sales teams by driving business initiatives and acting as the liaison with different support groups across the bank globally. Perform informal function as a "sounding board" for Front Office personnel and ensure safekeeping of the business by being an advocate of the control framework that has been established within the Bank. Assist in covering the Equity Derivatives linear pole with a specific focus on Quantitative Market Making and Flow Indexation desks. Adapt to regulatory changes by conducting impact analysis and remediation planning. Conduct business/impact analyses on various business initiatives, involving teams to take into account impacts on systems and infrastructure, trading, compliance and operations. Ensure proper project management or delegated sponsorship on projects by prioritizing with the business line COO and head of desks and having formalized documentation (process, procedures, etc.) and functional specifications. Responsible for problem management / production monitoring by serving as a liaison for desks to internal departments, including Compliance, ITEC, Legal, Operations, Risk, Tax, etc. Maintain up-to-date knowledge and awareness of Bank's standards and policies related to assigned business lines, projects and initiatives. Assess and monitor operational risk and permanent supervision on various topics including Alice licenses, ProxyGen and Risk console limits and trading tools limits.
Profile
Master's degree or U.S. equivalent in Computer Science, Finance, Engineering or a related field plus 3 years of professional experience at a global financial organization working on front office trading projects (including business analysis and implementation) for a Quantitative Market Making desk related to Equity Derivative products, including pre-trade market access. Must also have the following: 3 years of professional experience managing trading projects and leading groups towards specific business plans; 2 years of professional experience in a leadership role representing Equities, Fixed Income, Commodities, or Prime services initiatives, including technology related improvements and process improvements; 2 years of professional experience working with the following products: stocks, ETF and Equity listed derivatives products; any experience in directly interacting with business line managers and resource-type functions (including Operations, IT, Trade, Middle Office, Compliance).
