Job Duties and Responsibilities

We are looking for an innovative and passionate AWS Software Architect to help lead an Agile Release Train that is helping build the Internet of Things (IoT) using DISH's NB-IoT network. This team uses the Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) to create a developer-driven culture via ceremonies such as big room planning, system demos, innovation days, and retrospectives.

We are looking for people who are passionate about:

* Diving into AWS services and technologies to help us build the nation's biggest and best NBIoT network.
* Creating software in a microservice architecture that is highly scalable and fault tolerant.
* Creating and presenting our technology vision to senior executives and critical stakeholders.
* Working closely with more than 50 engineers to implement your vision in a production customer facing environment.
* Innovating and inventing solutions using state of the art technologies like machine learning and artificial intelligence. Or any other technologies you feel would be helpful.

Skills - Experience and Requirements

You would be considered a great fit for this role if you have the following:

* Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or a related technical degree
* At least 5 years of experience working as an architect in an Agile software development environment with at least 1 year working as an AWS architect
* At least 10 years of experience in software development using one or more of the following: Java, C++, Python, Go, Elixir, or JavaScript in a Unix/Linux environment

These qualfications would make you stand out among other applicants:

* Great communication skills - someone who passionate about sharing your vision and getting others excited
* AWS certifications - Solutions Architect, Certified Developer, Cloud Practioner, DevOps Engineer etc...
* Significant experience (at least 5 years) using DevOps tools such as GitLab, Kubernetes and Docker
