Senior Applications Analyst/Salesforce Administrator

The Division of University Life at George Mason University is seeking interested and qualified candidates for the newly created Senior Application Analyst/Salesforce Admin position. Reporting to the Executive Director of Divisional Operations and Planning in University Life, this position plans, develops and implements technology solutions in support of the Mason/Nova ADVANCE initiative. This role will leverage Mason's planned enterprise Salesforce platform and related systems and associated processes to support the needs of this growing program.

Responsibilities:

System support will be provided to the Mason Care Network and Success coaching functions. Business analysis of lifecycle processes at both institutions will be conducted to support ongoing data integration and platform configuration to support student success. Additional responsibilities include daily operations support, configuration changes, reporting, training, troubleshooting and stakeholder engagement to ensure applications meet their current and evolving needs. Position will represent technology needs to central IT operations at both institutions, ensuring technology solutions are optimized. Provides technical leadership, training, and support to staff, particularly associated with Salesforce and related system functionality.

Required Qualifications:

* Bachelor's degree, or equivalent combination of education/experience
* Deep technical understanding of the Salesforce platform and its capabilities
* Experience with Demand Tools and/or Salesforce Data Loader
* Experience with Informatica Cloud (or equivalent ETL tool)
* Demonstrated ability to understand and/or anticipate organizational needs and translate them into technical requirements
* Salesforce Lightning Connector and relational databases
* Experience performing technical user support, testing system releases, patches and upgrades



Preferred Qualifications:

* Demonstrates experience as Salesforce Admin
* SFDC Administrator Certification preferred (or equivalent experience)

Responsibilities:
* Develops technology solutions related to the enterprise CRM and other related technology platforms and associated processes.
* Works with stakeholders to analyze business processes and gather requirements for implementations. Applies a broad range of principles, practices, and procedures to complete difficult and complex assignments, including project management activities such as defining scope, scheduling tasks, and tracking and documenting status.
* Coordinates technical needs with both Mason and Nova IT resources.
* Provides integration and development of the university Salesforce platform, focused on supporting the business processes for the Advance Mason/Nova partnership and related areas. Monitors, evaluates, tests, and validates application functionality including patches, point releases, and upgrades. Collaborates with IT staff and vendors to provide operational support for end users.
* Creates and maintains Salesforce views, reports and dashboards. Retrieves and performs analysis on data extracted from Salesforce, Banner and associated data sources utilizing relevant tools including Salesforce, SQL Developer and Microstrategy.
* Provides training for users of the Salesforce platform and other related technologies.
