Senior App Dev - Java

Location: Chicago, IL

Duration: 5 months with possible contract to hire/ Possible extension

Description:

* Candidate will be a hands-on software developer building out a new agent servicing platform. This platform will be used by call center agents to service all card customer accounts including Branded Cards, Walmart and PLCC partners. The candidate will be building front-end User Interface (UI) capabilities using Cloud technologies such as Vue & Angular 2, as well as working with node application APIs built to communicate to existing backend data stores and enterprise APIs. This candidate will use engineering excellence, operational excellence and devops best practices. You will: Continuously integrate and ship code into cloud Production environments. Develop applications from ground up using modern technology stacks. Work directly with Product Owners and customers to deliver products in a collaborative and agile environment.

Agent servicing platform, IRIS, is the current application, they are building a new application called -

Support - credit cards, bank accounts, home and auto loans

Currently the team has 4 Engineers - 2 associates and 2 contractors

Skills: VueJS, AWS, Java, JavaScript, Node.js, Dev Ops

Role Info:

55% of role is front end and 45 % backend

Top Skills:

UI is most important skill, Angular 2 and above

Java- core Java

API Integration

Nice to have:

* Highly preferred
* AWS
* DevOps
* CI CD pipeline
* VueJS, is preference but React JS is also acceptable.
