APIs are essential as arguably the greatest reason to leverage a data platform is to easily access uniquely aggregated data to solve a business problem. We are looking for a product manager to create standard APIs for Change Healthcare's enterprise data platform. This role would be responsible for the full life cycle surrounding the platform's APIs and potentially other consent driven, secure mechanisms to access data.

Further, the APIs are standard, configurable, and published on a marketplace for internal and external use (e.g., APIs to support extracts for visualization, third-party analytics, internal solutions, consumer applications, etc.) The platform is a foundation for go forward products and includes key attributes such as data acquisition at scale, data parsing, normalization, identity services, policy, best record matching, and ultimately data access.

The role is responsible for gathering and prioritizing all data access requirements based on prioritized business needs to meet strategic goals, owning the product development backlog, and collaborating with internal and external customers, vendors, and cross functional teams across the business to ensure successful deployment and roll out of new features. Additionally, the product manager will collaborate with peers to ensure that that the product roadmap is aligned with company's overall strategy and goals.

In this role, you will:

* Translate business, market, and customer needs (collaborating with the Business Leads) into product strategy and requirements (e.g., functional and technical design documents)
* Assist with business cases to evaluate and determine best technology (e.g., build/ buy) or assist Business Leads with overall solution business cases
* Own the product capability roadmap items; act as product owner for scrum teams
* Define product functional, scalability, configuration, and deployment requirements.
* Understand end use case needs and coordinate dependencies with upstream capabilities and self-service tooling.
* Understand cost implications of solutions (technology as well as cloud infrastructure) and provide recommendations to manage costs
* Create internal training, marketing content (as needed), assist with implementation methodology
* Need to work as a team member; adopt product tools and best practices to prepare for agile ceremonies such as stand-ups, retrospectives, sprint planning, etc.
* Act as a main interaction point with R&D; serve as a liaison with Development and QA to create initiatives, epics and stories, prioritization, answer any questions during coding, provide targets and guidance for test case creation, and guide UI/ UX design to ensure usability.
* Work with Program and Project Management to ensure there is a project plan for each initiative or release, monitor and mitigate risks, keep each capability on track, and provide communication with all teams to ensure alignment

* Strong communication skills including written and verbal are necessary.
