Job Introduction:

G4S is looking for an experienced Security Systems Specialist II to be responsible for responding to and completing service requests with appropriate documentation and communications to our clients with a focus on root cause analysis. The Security Systems Specialists II will work closely with our Field Service Teams to resolve client issues and at times with our Operations and Engineering teams on projects.

Role Responsibility:

* Performs support, service, preventative maintenance, repair and occasional installation of integrated systems, networks, communications, IT infrastructure and electronic security and surveillance applications while working remotely.
* End user, field team, and project support including; service, maintenance, repair, installation and configuration of head-end computer systems, related software, associated databases, workstations, networks, field devices and computer peripherals.
* Working with tightly-aligned regional staff to ensure superior level of service by providing advanced support for service requests and trouble tickets as assigned
* Excellent time management skills and the ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
* Demonstrated flexibility and versatility in problem analysis and resolution
* Ability to train others, both clients and peers
* Other duties as assigned.

The Ideal Candidate:

* 3+ years of experience with a Bachelor of Science degree in Information Technology, Computer Information System or similar field.
* 7+ years of experience in the electronic security, IT, or telecommunications without a degree
* Experience in the following technologies is preferred, vendor or industry certifications are desirable.
* Access Control and Visitor Management Systems
* Video Surveillance and Analytics Systems
* Ethernet Switches and Routers
* Servers and IT Infrastructure
* Wired and Wireless Communication Systems
* Burglar and Intrusion Detection Systems


* Experience in any of the following technologies is highly desirable
* Installation and Support of complex integrated security systems
* Biometric Identification Systems
* Windows Server and Active Directory, including deployment and management.
* Experience supporting SQL Databases and creating queries and views for custom reports
* Management of SQL data archives and DB maintenance practices
* Experience implementing and supporting virtual systems including VMware and Hyper-V
* IT System and Cyber Security
* Supporting SaaS, IaaS, and PaaS environments, applications and end users
* An understanding of low voltage electronics
* RAID Configuration, NAS Systems, Cloud Storage and Backup Solutions
