talented individual for the position of Security Specialist II, Operations

Security (OPSEC).

Description:

Summary: The Security Specialist II - Operations

Security will provide support in the areas of security, policy,

procedures and methodology as it applies to Operations Security..

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

* Thorough

knowledge of OPSEC and related basic security principles, concepts,

policy, procedures and methodology, in addition to the necessary skills

required to apply this knowledge and provide security advice, and

assistance on a wide range of security issues
* Ensure

the safeguard of information that is useful to adversaries and potential

adversaries to plan, prepare, and conduct military and other operations
* Maintain

process to identify and mitigate indicators of U.S. intentions,

capabilities, operations, and activities
* Requires

experience supporting OPSEC assessments and/or surveys a Major command or

Defense Agency
* Requires

OPSEC training experience and experience supporting a Public Affairs

Office
* Requires

excellent writing and verbal communication skills

Requirement:

* Associates Degree
* Five (5) years of experience as a

Personnel Security Specialist (or related duties)

* OPSEC Awareness for Military Members,

DoD Employees, and Contractors Course, GS130.16 (or equivalent)

Security Requirements:

* Top

Secret/SCI

Skills:

* Detailed knowledge of operations

security policy and procedures

* Prepare correspondence, reports,

briefing, and other documents for internal and external organizations

* Communicates clearly orally and in

writing

* Develops draft operating procedures and

security education material

* Strong customer service and

communication skills

* In/Out Processing and Visitor

Control

Physical Requirements: This

position requires employees to be willing and able to: sit, bend, reach, stoop,

squat, stand, and walk.

Communication: Excellent

customer service via phone and face to face conversation, excellent written and

oral command of English.
