The Team

At Cloudflare, risk management lays the foundation for protecting Cloudflare and our customers. The Risk Management team identifies risk throughout the company and prioritizes mitigation efforts to drive Security team priorities. We do not believe in tick-box security, so for us risk management is a pathway to doing things right.

As a Risk Intern, you will be able to apply your knowledge to support risk and vendor management programs. You will help identify and manage security risk across Cloudflare's production environment and critical business functions, mature the vendor management program, and research new vendors and tools to support risk management projects.

Interns may be expected to work independently on projects implementing recommendations for security and privacy controls and collaborate closely with the Sales, Engineering and other parts of the organization to achieve common goals.

What you'll do

* Support Cloudflare's Security Risk Management Program through maintenance of the risk register
* Assist with Third Party Risk Management through vendor reviews
* Support the migration of Risk Management processes and data to a GRC tool
* Work with cross-functional stakeholders to complete security projects
* Research emerging technology to apply to privacy and security compliance requirements and regulations

Examples of desirable skills, knowledge and experience

* Currently enrolled or degree, BA/BS, MA/MA, PhD in
* Computer Science, Information Science, Network Engineering
* Information Systems
* Accounting Information Systems
* Privacy Law
* Law & Technology
* or related field, or educational program, or equivalent experience.
* Interest in Security Risk Management
* Knowledge of information security and privacy principles
* Knowledge of cloud security architectures and technologies
* Ability to work independently and succeed in a fast-paced environment
* Strong communication skills to support cross-functional projects with internal stakeholders
* Desire to work with cutting edge technology and learn new products and features quickly
