Summary Leads various Information Security maintained solutions and technologies including monitoring systems, intrusion detection systems, remote access solutions, authentication methods and other systems relevant to the Information Security program.# Leads in assigned tasks as it relates to regulatory compliance related actives and remediation efforts. Evaluates and performs Risk Assessments of current and incoming systems, and works on complex problems where analysis of situations requires in-depth evaluation of various factors. Completes assigned tasks of significant complexity related to projects and technical requests, and provides advanced support in all areas of the departments tasks and initiatives.# Can function with complete autonomy and self-direction once assigned work. This position can sit at anyone of our physical locations:# St. Joseph Healthcare, Bangor, ME, St. Mary#s Regional Medical Center, Lewiston, ME, St. Joseph Hospital, Nashua, NH or Covenant Health, Tewksbury, ME# Essential Duties and Responsibilities Participates and engages in team meetings, team building activities, and other opportunities to strengthen the department. Executes project-related tasks. Uses advanced troubleshooting methodologies that provide efficient, effective resolution and minimize impact to the customer. Actively maintains education and cross-training on all departmental areas of expertise. Prepares and leads training when available and appropriate. Leads complex inter and intra-departmental committees and groups. Leads in the evaluation and estimation of routine work requests, ITS initiatives or minor projects. Creates, follows and maintains detailed and accurate records in workload management, asset management and administrative applications. Accurately follows documentation and checklists to ensure efficiency and consistency. Leads in the orientation of new team members. Acts as backup to departmental leaders. Assists management in identifying significant opportunities for process improvement both inside and outside of the department. Assists customers with understanding total cost of ownership issues related to hardware and software. Works conscientiously to minimize cost and time requirements in all areas of departmental responsibility. Supports and promotes the mission and values of Covenant Health and the Catholic Health Ministry. Other duties as consistent with this role. # Job Requirements Job knowledge and experience Able to interact effectively with clinicians, information systems resources, peers, and management staff from hospitals, other Member Organizations, and vendors in a manner that represents Covenant Health positively. Communicate in a professional, positive and timely manner in person, on the phone, and via electronic means.# Proficient in a system security administration role supporting multiple platforms and applications. Proficient with computer hardware, operating systems, virtualization (VDI), software and applications with a specific concentration in the following:# Microsoft Active Directory, O365, Exchange, SharePoint, Cisco Firepower appliances (or web application/firewall), Endpoint Protection, MDM, SEIM (Alien Vault). Proficient with anti-virus software, intrusion detection, firewalls and content filtering. Proficient with disaster recovery, computer forensic tools, technologies and methods. Proficient in supporting front-end and back-end application systems and associated troubleshooting techniques. Proficient in healthcare security # compliance regulations.# Ability to interpret and apply to Covenant Health business systems and processes. Proficient with various network architecture, security terms and systems in a large production environment. Highly proficient in implementing new security systems into an existing environment. Proficient using tools for monitoring performance and troubleshooting problems and outages. Able to interpret complex architecture and design configurations from vendors or other teams to enable clear implementation secure regulatory and Covenant Health policy compliant standards and guidelines. # Education High school diploma/GED required. Bachelor#s Degree in related field or equivalent relevant experience preferred. 5-7 relevant experience (preferably in healthcare).
