Are you Passionate about Information Security and protecting our Customer data? Amazon's Security Operation Center is looking for a focused Senior Security incident Response Engineer who can take a leadership role in responding to security issues related to insider threats. The right candidate must be able to work closely with our internal customers, thrive in high pressure situations, drive engineering teams to take the right actions to mitigate risk, know when to escalate and seek guidance and have a passion for investigative problem solving. The successful candidate will have a good mix of deep technical knowledge and a demonstrated background in information security, including forensics, security operations and incident response. In addition to leading incident response, this role will work closely with internal customers and the teams focused on Insider Threat Prevention to establish best practices, share information, create detections and provide guidance on how we best safeguard Amazon customers.

This position will:

* Coordinate the response to security incidents, including the appropriate involvement of multiple internal teams, HR and Legal
* Work with the team on internal tools for identification, prioritization, triage and incident containment
* Evaluate the impact of current security trends and coordinate initiatives across affected teams to support the security of our customers
* Communicate effectively with multiple audiences requiring varied levels of sensitivity and own final incident reporting and related information sharing
* Identify and drive improvements across the team
