Amazon Robotics is looking for a Security Engineer to join our team. This position will ensure that our applications and infrastructure are designed and implemented to the highest standards thus maintaining and enhancing customer trust. If you enjoy analyzing and architecting system services, operating systems, networks and applications from a security perspective, and you are skilled at discovering security issues that appear under new threat scenarios, this position will provide you with a challenging opportunity. You will participate in security audits, define and drive adoption of secure development best practices and system risk analysis within Amazon Robotics environments.

A Security Engineer at Amazon Robotics is expected to be strong in multiple domains - it is necessary to be successful in the position. A successful candidate will need a combination of technical and communication skills, as well as the ability to handle a mix of disparate tasks which will include threat modeling and project work. You communicate professionally with your team and the teams you support, knowing when to contribute and when to listen.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

* Work with teams to carry out Application Security Reviews for both home grown, and Commercially Off-The-Shelf (COTs) services and applications
* Facilitate threat modelling exercises, risk identification and seek resolution when confronted with discordant views
* Review of third-party services (e.g: SaaS-providers, supply chain vendors, etc.)
* Proactively and continually improve your level of knowledge about Amazon Robotics business, information security, the threat landscape and relevant technologies.
* Provide expert advice and consultancy to internal customers on risk assessment, threat modelling and fixing vulnerabilities
* Design, implement and support security-focused tools and services to automate security operations
* Develop training materials for general security awareness and specific security technology training
* Participate in efforts to promote security awareness throughout the org.
* Leverage scripting and automation tools to streamline security operations tasks (vulnerability detection, monitoring and remediation deployment)
