Responsibilities

OBXtek is currently staffing for a Security Architect to provide Information Assurance architecture, engineering, and integration support and technical expertise for the Department of Energy. The job will involve being able to assess and implement latest technical and cybersecurity guidance coming from the NIST, other Federal agencies regarding current and new IA initiatives, products, guidance, and direction. Oversee solutions supporting identity management and access to data and services.

Tasks for this position include:

* Provide architecture, engineering, and implementation support for solutions to include vulnerability scanning and assessment products, continuous monitoring products, tools and activities, and risk assessment and reporting products and capabilities.
* Integrate existing IA products with new hardware and software introduced to managed systems and services within the environment.
* Provide IA reviews for the acquisition, installation, fielding, training, and operation of various products to include hardware, software, and licenses.
* Provide recommendations/baselines for secure configurations based on IA reviews.
* Provide recommendations based upon risk assessment for each new project.
* Designs security architecture to include the software, hardware and communications to support the total requirements as well as provide for present and future cross-functional requirements and interfaces.
* Identifies, assesses, and presents options for meeting the functional and technical requirements including hardware and software updates or upgrades.
* Participate in the creation of technical demos, briefings, and oral presentations materials.

Qualifications

7 years of Information Assurance cybersecurity experience

4 years of experience applying NIST policy, direction, and guidance to customer environments.

Experience with the following are required:

* Requires MS Certification for Windows 7, 8 or newer.
* Network/system architecture design and implementation
* Security configuration with Microsoft servers, Red Hat Linux Enterprise OS, and Unix OS
* Architecture and design involving security stack and integration with office automation products and services to include production, test, development, and DMZ enclaves.
* VMWare, database and border device security.
* Auditing system accounts, security logs, and system and network anomalies
