Security Analyst Intern - Summer 2019

Shure offers a challenging and rewarding summer internship program. The twelve week program is available to undergraduate students that have completed at least 2 years of college, as well as graduate students. Each intern will receive a competitive salary and students who reside out of Illinois will receive a housing stipend to cover living expenses. Applications will be collected, reviewed and selected candidates will be contacted in late fall/early winter.

As the Security Analyst Intern, you will perform security assessments and penetration testing of hardware, software, and network products including third party products. You will also contributes/recommend new tools for assessment, penetration testing, and secure product validation as well as research emerging security technologies, trends, tactics, and exploits.

Requirements:

* Two years of coursework in Cyber Security, CEH, or a related area (or equivalent experience)


* Experience with commercial and open source security tools (e.g. Kali, Nessus, HP Fortify, IBM AppScan, Nexpose, SAINT, Qualys, Burp, NMap, Metasploit, Meterpreter, Wireshark, Kismet, Aircrack-ng, etc.)


* Familiarity with various network architectures, network services, system types, network devices, development platforms and software suites (e.g. Linux, Windows, Cisco, Oracle, Active Directory, etc.)


* Hacker/attacker mindset!
