Job Description

CACI is looking for full-time Security Analyst - Developmental to join our dynamic team in providing a wide range of support to our government customer.

Work Description:

As a Security Analyst Assistant typical day might include the following:

* Creates written products documenting case processing, such as Memorandum for the Record and E-mail.
* Reviews the results of all security processing to glean necessary facts and data relevant to the final recommendation.
* Interviews the subject in person, by telephone, or through written correspondence to elicit clarifying information after consultation and approval of the Sponsor.
* Provides a final written recommendation, in sufficient detail to permit the Sponsor to make an informed, independent decision to grant, disapprove or revoke a security clearance or approval.
* Manages case load effectively to meet the productivity standards set by the Sponsor.
* The Security Analyst will organize and assess investigative file material against required coverage for all case types specific to the assigned program.
* The Security Analyst will ensure routine background investigation coverage, polygraph, and National Agency Checks are completed according to standards for the level of access requested, and can identify cases that meet outlined thresholds and investigative results that may warrant review of case material by Subject Matter Experts outside of customer organization.
* When required by the government the Security Analyst will present case facts, analysis, and recommendations to the Adjudication Board in the presence of Government Program Managers, Senior Case Managers, and peers.
* The Security Analyst must be capable of preparing products that capture relevant case details and present facts in a logical manner.
* The Security Analyst must be able to compose and formalize adjudicative closing documents utilizing all investigative and/or polygraph results required to render a decision based on ICD 704 standards for access to national security information.
* In addition, the Security Analyst must be able to submit analysis and recommendations with clear nexus between issues and/or non-issues according to ICD 704 standards. This analysis and recommendation will include identifying, supporting, and implementation of appropriate risk-mitigation strategies when appropriate.
* The Security Analyst must be able to identify, as early as possible, any significant derogatory information that may alter the course of routine processing or warrant immediate action, and be capable of clarifying facts, able to elicit new or additional information and, if necessary, further investigate questions relevant to final adjudication
* The Security Analyst must be able to track cases throughout the processing stages to ensure investigative information is reviewed for relevance as it comes to completion; and capable of preparing and providing the Statement of Reasons, investigative files, executive case summaries, and First Level Review recommendations. All new information generated throughout the adjudication process is scanned and/or electronically uploaded to the electronic file.
* Also, specifically required training / knowledge:
* The Sponsor's clearance adjudicative process;
* Application of ICD 704 and EO 12968 to adjudicative issues
* Effective interview and briefing techniques



Required Qualifications:

* TS/SCI with Full Scope Polygraph
* A minimum of 1 year of adjudicative experience in a Federal of Contractor role with the Federal Government or equivalent year(s) of experience in a related field of internships as delineated below
* Exposure to analyzing, interpreting and applying personnel security policies, standards, procedures or regulations
* Experience applying principles of the ICD 704 -Personnel Security Standards and Procedures
* Must possess demonstrated analytical ability and the ability to handle a large, complex workload.
* Must demonstrate a high level of personal integrity and the ability to discreetly handle sensitive, personal and classified case information.
* Must have excellent writing skills, with the ability to comprehend complex and multi-source data into succinct and supportable final reports.
* Must possess strong organizational skills and good judgment. In addition, must be able to operate various corporate and customer specific automated systems for case tracking, and status reporting.
* Must have an understanding of the federal rules and regulations that encompass the clearance process.

Education:

* Typically requires bachelor's degree or equivalent and zero to two years of related experience.
