When applying for this role please ensure you tell us how you could add value to PeopleFluent and most importantly, what makes you suitable for this role.We are looking for a talented Security Administrator to join our team at PeopleFluent.
Are you a network guru who is serious about security best practices?
Do you dream about AWS VPCs and subnets?
Do you enjoy unraveling the mysteries of a multi-VLAN environment?
Do you hear the Imperial March in your head when you create a new firewall rule?
Does "Cisco" mean more than a food service company to you?
Does the word "Nexus" bring more to mind than energy drinks?
If you answered yes to these questions, this may be the right job for you.
We are looking for a Security Administrator that can manage firewalls and switches in a SaaS-based production and development environment of over 3500 machines. You'll be responsible for building and maintaining VPNs between our various data centers, building the networks that support our software-as-a-service solutions alongside our team of engineers and developers, and maintaining our network security apparatus on a day-to-day basis.
We are SSAE-18 certified, so the ability to document things and follow the processes and procedures we have in place is critical. Clear writing skills in standard English are essential. You don't need to be David Foster Wallace or anything (that actually wouldn't work out well, as anyone who has read Infinite Jest will tell you), but the ability to create good documentation and communicate clearly in writing is really important.
There is an on-call rotation because someone needs to answer the alerts when they go off in the middle of the night, but we try to keep it to a minimum. The whole team participates in the on-call rotation, and the burden isn't heavy on any one person. We want you to have a life outside work, and a sane on-call schedule is a big part of that.
Please send us a resume if you think this is the place for you. Please include a brief (no more than 1 page) cover letter. In your cover letter, tell us why you think you'd be a good fit and what excites you about networking and security in general. Tell us about who you are as an individual. What you care about. What you love. What makes you happy. We really really want to know (seriously, we're all nerds at the end of the day, and we care about the little things).
We look forward to hearing from you.
