Job Description SummaryWe are seeking a Scrum Master to join our team supporting an Internal Revenue Service (IRS) client located in Farmers Branch, TX. The Scrum Master will assist in the development of sprints and releases; system integration and testing; and program level coordination with other IRS projects and stakeholders across the enterprise.Location of work is primarily from home, with anticipated two days per week at the IRS facility in Farmers Branch TX. The selected candidate must be flexible and available to attend meetings or perform other activities at the IRS facility more frequently as required

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:- Participate in Scrum teams of business analysts, developers and testers to plan deliverables for each development sprint. Provide meeting minutes and action item lists within 24 hours of Scrum meetings.- Provide expertise in identifying iterative process improvements and methods to streamline adoption of the methodology.- Update Product Backlog Items to include new or revised requirements and backlog items.- Support Deliverables to include Release Burn Down Charts, Sprint Burn Down Charts and Defect Log.- Support solicitation of input and feedback from stakeholders and users after each Sprint.- Take initiative and act as a leader to foster collaboration and communication between team members on technical issues, on process improvements, and in addressing and escalating project risks and issues.Minimum Requirements:- Typically requires an advanced technical degree and a minimum of 12 years in progressively responsible positions.- Individual contributor who oversees large, technically complex projects.- Consistently works on complex assignments requiring independent action and a high degree of initiative to resolve issues.- The position is recognized as a subject matter expert within a particular discipline.- Some barriers to entry exist at this level (Sr. Executive approval).- Knowledgeable of emerging trends and may contribute to and influence best practices within discipline.- Computer Professional Job Profile

PROJECT SPECIFIC MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

* Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university required; an additional four (4) years of related work experience can substitute for a degree- At least twelve (12) years of relevant experience required- Master's Degree preferred- Demonstrated experience in iterative methodologies (Agile/Scrum)- leading Scrum meetings and developing Sprints, Product Backlogs, Burn Down Charts, and/or developing User Stories- Strong technical writing and presentation skills- In-depth understanding of the software development life cycle for implementing Enterprise level systems - Understanding of the role of software development tools and processes such as version control, defect and issue trackers, build processes, team collaboration tools- Excellent verbal and written communication skills- Experience working with dispersed teams, and using online communication tools such as OCS and Live Meetings, or similar- Experience working with many development teams (varied personalities and communication styles)- Experience managing deployment processes- Preferred experience includes: Certified Scrum Master or Certified Scrum Professional; IRS system and data knowledge experience

* Candidates must meet requirements to obtain and maintain an IRS Minimum Background Investigation (MBI) clearance (active IRS Moderate Risk MBI clearance is a plus).- Candidates must be a US Citizen or a Legal Permanent Resident (Green Card status) for at least three (3) years, and Federal Tax compliant
