Job Description

As a Scanner QA Engineer, you will be part of a highly motivated engineering team that is responsible for ensuring the continued quality of the leading Vulnerability Scanner on the market. You will have the opportunity to work with all major operating systems, databases, and networking

protocols.

The qualified candidate will have exceptional knowledge of the TCP protocol and will be applying your QA experience to test the ability of our scanning engine to successfully authenticate and scan all major database systems including Oracle, MSSQL, DB/2, Sybase and MySQL.

You will use packet analyzers to perform deep packet inspection of multiple protocols to ensure the proper functioning of our industry-leading scanner. You will also have the opportunity to develop tools and automation to thoroughly exercise and test our product in order to ensure that it continues to exceed industry standards. You will also design and create detailed test cases (automated and manual) that will cover all aspects of performance and regression testing.

Requirements:

* At least 2 years experience with packet capture technology with the ability to analyze SSL, SSH, and SQL protocols.
* At least 1 year of experience with the software development life cycle in a development or QA role.
* Experience with network troubleshooting.
* Scripting/automation knowledge, Perl/Python, Unix shell scripts with recent scripting experience.
* Must be a critical thinker with excellent verbal and written skills.
* XML Knowledge is required.

Responsibilities:

* Capture and analyze authentication protocol communications including SSH, SSL, SQL, and CIFS
* Develop detailed test plans to test and debug new features and improvements
* Develop automation tools and procedures where required
* Work closely with the engineering team to understand product architecture and functionality.
* Perform end-to-end testing per requirements and maintain test plans.
* Reproduce and isolate faults
* Contribute to building our Automation framework Development/Enhancement.
* Work in a dynamic environment and ability to adapt quickly to changes.

Additional Skills Desired:

* Database testing experience with Oracle, MS-SQL, DB/2, Sybase or MySQL.
* Experience with authentication protocols such as SSH, Windows or Kerberos (MIT or Windows)
* Knowledge of Windows Networking, Domains, and Active Directory
* Experience in Security domain is an advantage.
* Prior experience of working with a globally distributed team is a plus.
* Experience with Bamboo and TestLink
* Experience with API's
* Experience with End-point security
* Experience with SQL Scripting.
