AIG Commercial Pricing and Analytics team is looking for a Data Analyst with 5+ years of SAS development experience. As a specialized analyst the person will be responsible for requirements gathering, design, and development of new applications and enhancements/maintenance of existing applications pertaining to data process improvement, profitability metric reporting, and data modeling. Make contributions to projects of moderate to high complexity that impact multiple departments, systems, and work flows. Must have strong knowledge and development experience with SAS and working experience with other relational database systems. Should be familiar with insurance or financial services industry. Must have the ability, while working with other analysts, to identify business issues, translate the issues into business requirements, further refine them into technical requirements, and lastly implement them in data processes. Responsibilities include: Working closely with all business stakeholders to analyze, organize, and visualize data Developing processes to define measures for profitability, AQI and other pricing models. Running ad hoc analyses to answer strategic questions that can help move our fast growing business forward Creating and maintaining SAS processes to support reporting as a service to stakeholders Automating data pipelines from multiple sources in order to run analyses and derive insights Working collaboratively in an agile environment with actuaries, analysts and data scientists to ensure data precision is enforced

Job Requirements:

Skills & Qualifications Ability to perform ad hoc analyses, measure the validity of the results, and communicate actionable insights to decision makers Proficiency in SAS and databases. Minimum 5 years experience in SAS is required. Exposed to ETL, data model design, and data warehouse concepts Experience using cloud platforms such as AWS or GCP 3+ years of experience in data modeling, statistical analysis and experiment design Excellent oral and written communication skills Excellent collaborative skills Strong desire to learn analytical languages is a must Expose to Agile methodologies is a plus BA/BS degree or above in Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science or related field of study or equivalent experience
