SAP NS2 Junior QA Engineer

The Junior Quality Control Specialist will assist in building and maintaining the environments necessary for multiple projects to ensure successful software releases to both the non-production and production environments. This role is for an individual who thrives in a collaborative, diverse environment and is passionate about the work. You will be in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment with responsibilities that include planning and implementing tools, processes, maintaining source control, work item tracking.

Responsibilities:

* Customize all aspects of our integrated build process
* Coordinate build changes with development teams to meet the demands of the development, test & release process
* Provide documentation on change management processes and best-practices to development and test teams
* Integration or develop new tools to improve build infrastructure
* Define, develop, implement, document and evolve continuous integration tooling and standards
* Integrate automated test, quality metrics and deployment in the software build process
* Manage existing tools and systems while transitioning to improved processes and methods
* Coordinate and perform software releases to production and QA systems
* Maintain QA/QC documentation and Wiki knowledge base sites
* Maintain and administer the Jira issue/defect tracking system
* Perform source code branching, merging, and labeling
* Troubleshoot build and installation issues
* Improve testing and release procedures and frameworks

Qualifications:

Minimum qualifications:

BS in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.

2-3 years of QA experience testing applications based on Java, J2EE and web technologies.

Understanding of complex IaaS, PaaS, SaaS or Cloud Computing or Multi-tenant environments.

Solid experience with Continuous Integration testing is a big plus.

Proven experience driving the software testing process utilizing in-depth knowledge of state of art SQA methodology, tools and software development life cycles.

Experience with testing tools like - Selenium, JIRA, HPQC, Load Runner, TestLink, VersionOne, SVN, JAWS, SoapUI and ANT.

Strong knowledge with XML, HTML, comfortable with API, web services, knowledge of how the platforms that comprise a SaaS are put together.

Desirable Skills:

Experience with configuration management automation tools (VMWare, Chef).

Knowledge and experience with multi-tiered systems, including working knowledge of web/application servers, and Cloud Technologies (AWS).

Strong Knowledge of CSS, or JavaScript is a plus.

Experience with SQL and related RDMS concepts with ability to understand data models.

Experience with Linux/Unix, MAC OS.

Experience with SuccessFactors, ERP, HCM suite is a big plus.

Excellent oral, written and analytical skills and demonstrated commitment to continuous quality improvement.

Education Requirements:

* University degree in Computer Science or equivalent field or commensurate experience
* Mobility: 0-10% Travel
