As such SAP Concur is going through a Cloud technology and DevOps culture transformation. The LAMA (Logging, Alerting, Monitoring & Analytics) team is responsible for enabling SAP Concur development teams to successfully configure, run, monitor and manage their services. The Site Reliability Engineer is responsible for operating and supporting services that provide key pillars of Observability in the new landscape such as Monitoring, Logging and Distributed Tracing.

As part of Concur LAMA team, you will be focused on technologies behind SAP Concur Cloud Services:

* Amazon Web Services (AWS)
* RedHat Enterprise Linux
* Elasticsearch, Logstash, Kibana, Beats
* Java, Tomcat, NGINX
* Puppet, Ansible, Jenkins, GitHub
* CloudFormation, Terraform
* Docker, Kubernetes

The Role:

* Own and support Monitoring and Logging services used across SAP Concur product lines
* Design, implement, configure, deploy new features and enhancements for the services you own
* Support and assist development teams using Monitoring and Logging Services
* Leverage a DevOps working model to build end-to-end deployment automations using technologies such as Terraform, Ansible and CloudFormation
* Develop code to monitor service health, generate triggers, alerts and audit events
* Find and fix issues, troubleshoot, handle incidents and perform root cause analyses
* Evangelize best practices for implementing Observability throughout the organization

Requirements:

* Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related software engineering
* Strong scripting skills (Bash, Python, Ruby) and programming skills (Java, JavaScript, Go)
* Experience with public cloud (i.e. AWS) IaaS and SaaS solutions
* Experience deploying and maintaining services using Git workflows, Jenkins and tools such as Puppet, Chef, Ansible or AWS CloudFormation
* Experience with container technologies, Docker, Kubernetes
* Understanding of "infrastructure as a code" and "configuration as a code" concepts
* Experience with Linux at a system administration level
* Experience with Elasticsearch or other BigData solutions is a plus
* As a condition of employment, candidates will be required to participate in a background investigation and/or successfully demonstrate eligibility to receive applicable Government security clearance(s)
