Job summary

The Red Hat Engineering team is looking for an SAP Architect with a solid technical working knowledge of Red Hat's portfolio, specifically knowledge of Red Hat OpenShift, Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL), Red Hat Virtualization, Red Hat Management (Red Hat Ansible Automation, Red Hat Insights), and Red Hat Storage, to join us in Westford, MA. In this role, you will serve as the principal engineering point of contact for the SAP Technical Alliance team to technically validate cross portfolio integration within Red Hat and with SAP. You'll be responsible for helping architect and perform direct validation of SAP solutions on Red Hat's platforms. Support and persuade multiple Red Hat's product engineering teams responsible for delivering component offerings for such solutions and expand the solutions capabilities in line with product management and marketing requirements.

Primary job responsibilities

* Work closely with various stakeholders, including product management and engineering teams, Red Hat's SAP Technical Alliance team, Red Hat's Office of Technology, and SAP solution owners to understand and incorporate needs into the technical definition of solutions
* Effectively communicate to all stakeholders a technical roadmap that explains the technical value proposition of joint Red Hat and SAP solutions
* Design and implement short and long-term strategic approaches for managing and maintaining joint solutions involving Red Hat and SAP
* Serve as a consultant to the SAP program manager in helping define overall SAP solutions program implementation milestones, timelines, and dependencies
* Serve as a technical architect and authoritative voice for SAP and Red Hat joint solutions, including being able to explain why certain technical decisions should be made to various stakeholders

Required skills

* Solid technical working knowledge of Red Hat's portfolio; specific knowledge of Red Hat OpenShift, Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL), Red Hat Virtualization, Red Hat Management (Red Hat Ansible Automation, Red Hat Insights), and Red Hat Storage
* Moderate technical working knowledge about SAP, their offerings and technologies (e.g., HANA, NetWeaver, and DataHub), and how they are usually implemented within customer datacenter or cloud providers
* Ability to work effectively in lab to install, configure, and test in order to understand the solutions and provide recommendations
* Some knowledge of Red Hat Middleware is a plus
* Experience designing and building multi-product solutions that span multiple technical domains like middleware, containers, and infrastructure is a plus
