We have an exciting new job opening for a Salesforce Developer to work on-site at our client's HQ's in McLean, Virginia. This role will be responsible for administration and maintenance of Salesforce environments available to both external and internal stakeholders. Specifically, you will implement, support and improve Salesforce and related applications. You are responsible for the suite of technologies used to support our client, with a focus on Salesforce and the needs of the Project Procurement function. As the Salesforce Developer, you will implement, administer, support and improve of Salesforce, and other procurement applications such as Ariba and other websites, if related activities required. You will manage user management, data validation, content creation, content validation and training and user support. We will depend on you to also participate in discussions on releases, improved functionalities and user acceptance testing.
o Manage the day-to-day administration and support of Salesforce technologies, inclusive of tools for project management, project reporting, logistics management, invoicing, and more.
o Hands on design and development of custom solutions on the Force.com platform including significant work in Apex, Force.com, Visualforce page design, and application integration.
o Develop, configure and maintain document libraries, enterprise lists and site collections.
o Perform system administrative activities such as site creation, user training, backup, restore and issue resolution.
o Maintain current industry knowledge and attend ongoing training on Salesforce best practices and procedures. Research and work with industry-leading vendors to implement new functionality and/ or support existing functionality.
o Establish a process for synchronizing content and data across the portal environments.
o Implement strategies and processes for electronic communications.
o Find opportunities to streamline the management of information and creation of documents.
o Develop a process for the communication of outages, providing technical support and troubleshooting to users when needed.
o Prepare reports and other materials.
o Align with IT, HR, Corporate Communications and other departments for support in designing and developing solutions to address business needs and opportunities.
o Work closely with the internal team to understand business needs.
o Conduct regular assessments of process effectiveness and modify as business needs require.
o Maintain current industry knowledge of development concepts, standard methodologies and procedures.
o Meet internal service levels for portal management.
o 2+ years of Salesforce development experience
o 1+ year of experience in Application Support, Project Manager, Procurement, APEX, Visualforce, Force.com, API Integrations, or Lightning Components
o BA/BS Bachelor's Degree
o 3+ years of experience in Change Management, Application Support, Project Procurement or Hospitality Procurement Experience
o 2+ years of Management experience
o Salesforce Developer Certification - highly preferred
