Job Description

Position Description: The Salesforce.com Engineer will be responsible for the design, development, implementation, and integration of Okta's SFDC instances. This role will support a complex SFDC environment, including Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, custom Lightning Platform development, and many third-party applications. This is a cross-functional role that will collaborate with business analysts, admins, and stakeholders across the organization to implement solutions that meet the needs of the business. An ideal candidate will have experience in large, complex SFDC instances.

Job Duties & Responsibilities:

* Design, build, test, deploy, and maintain solutions on the Salesforce.com platform.
* Participate in the planning and analysis of business requirements for system changes and enhancements.
* Ability to identify solutions that suit business needs, fit the environment, and meet project requirements.
* Offer technical support and maintenance for delivered projects and solutions on the Salesforce.com platform.
* Improve the overall quality and completeness of Salesforce.com documentation and support procedures.
* Maintain and enhance system performance by analyzing and identifying inefficiencies.
* This role is highly visible. Candidates must have excellent communication and presentation skills.

Required Education and Experience

* BS in computer science or equivalent.
* 2-3 years Salesforce.com development experience:
* Creating custom Visualforce pages and components.
* Developing Apex triggers and both synchronous and asynchronous Apex classes.
* Building rich user experiences with custom Lightning components.


* Active Force.com Platform Developer I Certification. Platform Developer II preferred.
* Experience with SFDC object design, SOQL & SOSL, and the Salesforce.com data model.
* Strong UI experience using JavaScript, jQuery, HTML, and CSS.
* Good grasp of software engineering principles.
* Ability to work as a member of a cross-team project group.
* Experience with SteelBrick CPQ and FinancialForce are plusses.
* Experience integrating Salesforce with NetSuite or another ERP is also a plus.
