We're cutting edge when it comes to our use of Salesforce. Salesforce.com provides the backbone for business, providing critical functions in Sales, Service, Marketing, Identity, Billing and our Customer Community. There are few Salesforce features we currently do not leverage in our org, and we're working on rolling those out. As our business grows, we're growing our Salesforce team, and looking for you to become a part of it.

Position Summary:

The Business Analyst (BA) is responsible for analyzing the business needs of the product line to support product improvements and innovations, including software development efforts. The BA will work with business departments, stakeholders and product owner to learn, analyze and document current business processes and application functionality as well as elicit and document new requirements. The BA is responsible for writing business requirements and translating them into appropriate technical specifications to be used by the technology teams in new product development and testing, in accordance with Salesforce best practices. A proficient BA will learn and understand the business, and advise the business on how to best leverage the capabilities inherent in Salesforce.

The successful BA will be responsible for these activities related to Truckstop's Salesforce Sales and Service Cloud Solution. Experience with Zuora's CPQ product, or other CSQ experience is highly desirable but not required.

Essential Job Functions:

The BA acts as a liaison between business departments, technology teams, and quality assurance team to ensure requirements are met and incorporated into system design, deployment and testing. Project assignments often require preliminary discussions with the business to bring clarity to the scope and objectives. The BA coordinates and fosters consensus among multi-component teams in the development of technology projects. The BA articulates the technology available in the Salesforce, and to advise on inherent best practice to leverage that technology.

Follows standard requirements definition methodologies including developing Use Cases, High Level Designs, Wire Frames, Process Flows, User Stories, and other required documents. The BA could be involved in all phases from need identification to implementation. The business could engage the BA once the solution (business requirements and design) are defined and take them to enough detail that the requirements are testable and verifiable.

The successful BA will be responsible for these activities as needed for assigned projects:

Business and Requirements Analysis

* Elicit, learn, analyze and document the requirements of the business by utilizing interview techniques, document and process analysis, use case building, user stories and user scenarios.
* Serve as functional requirements lead on Salesforce projects with Project manager
* Map requirements to out-of-box functionality within Salesforce
* Understand the "as is" environment and provide functional expertise and knowledge of the existing business practices
* Analyze incoming projects and production support requests from business and work with Salesforce team to adjust Salesforce roadmap as necessary
* Develop and enhance relationships with key business stakeholders, actively managing their expectations and monitoring their satisfaction levels
* Create technical documents that include use cases, process flows, actor diagrams, business documentation, business rules, validations, and actor descriptions to be used by software development and testing teams to develop new products.
* Provide reference by writing documentation (business and technical specifications) using company standards (document templates saved to SharePoint; project details tracked in Jira and other project tracking tools).

System Analysis

* Identify interactions between systems to identify dependencies and design considerations for the new solution.
* Map business needs and processes to pre-built Salesforce features
* Define business need by conferring with requestors; evaluating procedures and processes.
* Work with technical architect to translate business requirements into appropriate specifications
* Propose solution by preparing and evaluating alternative workflow solutions.
* Define workflow using use cases, activity diagrams, sequence and process flows.
* Work closely with the User Interface/User Experience (UI/UX) team to collaborate on a solution recommendation that meets the needs of the business while accounting for technical considerations.
* Control solution by establishing specifications; coordinating production with programmers.
* Knowledge of technologies including SQL, relational databases, queries, scripts, web services, APIs, and data interchange is desirable but not required.
* Update job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading professional publications; maintaining personal networks; participating in professional organizations.
* Accomplish information systems and organization mission by completing related activities as needed.

Development, Design, and Operational Design Support

* Identify opportunities that can improve efficiency of business processes
* Work with operations and support teams to write production support documentation for new and existing systems
* Collaborate with developers to test and verify that solutions will meet the business requirements
* Prepare communications to the user community.
* Facilitate system and application training with business personnel; ensure support team is equipped for ongoing support of the product.
* Create training materials in support of development projects.

Quality Assurance

* Write detailed test requirements for Quality Assurance (QA) to use as a minimum viable baseline.
* Review and validate test cases and scenarios created and executed by QA.
* Write and help execute User Acceptance Testing (UAT) plans and test cases to be used by end users to validate product performance and functionality, as well as execute test cases as needed
* Interpret and document error reports from customer support and business units.
* Assist in troubleshooting software application issues.
* Assist with analysis to identify root cause and define potential solutions to system issues and defects.

Position Requirements:

* Salesforce Administrator Certification. Other Salesforce Certifications also highly desirable, especially Salesforce Consultant.
* The BA position requires strong business skills to ensure understanding of the business use of systems for which requirements are being defined.
* Minimum of 2 years' experience in Salesforce implementation efforts following a standard software development lifecycle approach.
* Detail oriented with analytical & problem-solving skills
* Strong facilitation, communication, and organization skills
* Commitment to the success of the development team at large, and the business.
* Become a subject matter expert on the features and capabilities of applications developed.
* Ability to set priorities and work to tight deadlines
* Demonstrated effectiveness in a fast-paced rapidly changing environment
* Knowledge of industry standard development methodologies and technologies.
* Patience and sense of humor.

Must be or become familiar with company products and navigate the company's programs and systems in a reasonable amount of time. Strong skills in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Visio, Internet technologies) and use of office equipment.

Must be able to communicate effectively verbally and in writing, maintain cooperative effective working relationships within the company, and support a team environment.
