Overview

InterSystems Corporation is hiring confident, motivated software developers to join our Software Sales Engineering team. This position combines software development with sales focused business initiatives. A Software Sales Engineer needs to be determined, outgoing, driven, and able to learn on the fly. You will be the technical face of the sales team acting as the sole provider of proof-of-concept through to implementation support for clients across North America.

You will be paired with a Senior Sales Engineer to mentor you through your initial six months in the company. Onboarding includes in-depth technical training on our software applications, as well as client exposure and gradual account management. Upon successful completion of the onboarding process, you will manage all technical aspects of the Sales process. Excellent coding skills, calm under pressure, and ability to self-educate are necessary to succeed in this role.

Responsibilities

* Partner with InterSystems Account Representatives to build long-term relationships with clients.
* Solve client's technical pain points through the utilization of InterSystems applications.
* Effectively communicate with C-Level executives who are new or existing clients of InterSystems technologies.
* Act as a resource for all technical/software related questions during the sales process, including hands-on coding.
* Create proof of concepts and execute technical demos.
* Ability to work on granular technical problems, but also speak at a higher level depending on the audience.
* Personal responsibility to self-educate on internal product updates as well as industry changes.
* Ability to travel up to 50% of the time.

Qualifications

* Strong communication, presentation, and problem solving skills.
* Fast learner who knows when to seek information and ask pointed questions.
* Highly motivated and persistent with a thick skin.
* Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively within a team.
* Exposure to object oriented programming languages, web languages, HTML and SQL.

Education and Training

* Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or similar.
