Job Overview In this role, you will work in Qualcomm's RF Front-End (RFFE) Department working on advanced front-end modules for cellular/wireless applications. The position offers the opportunity to design advanced RF Front-End Modules to ensure design success and market leadership. Qualcomm solutions include highly customized LNAs, PAs, FEMs, antenna tuner and multi-throw switches in standalone and module packages for 4G and 5G wireless cell phone and ultra-mobile devices. The Filter Design Engineer will deliver front-end filter designs in a fast-paced environment and will work closely with Module Design Engineers, Product Engineers, and other Filter Design Engineers to co-develop filters that operate in the LTE and 5G RF systems. Design responsibilities include linear and non-linear circuit simulations and optimization; electromagnetic parasitic evaluation; linear and non-linear device characterization; customer application support; and continuous improvement of the design flow. Minimum Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field.

Experience with Power amplifier, tuner, LNA, filters and switch knowledge is a plus. Experience with RF fundamentals such as Smith chart and impedance matching. Measurement of microwave active and passive devices. Solid understanding of RF systems and familiarity with cellular standards. Strong lab skills in RF characterization and debugging. Understanding of microelectronic fabrication, testing, and high-volume manufacturing. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills.
