Purpose of Position-
This position is responsible for the day to day design, development and production support of Dunkin's back-end services that support a business critical consumer mobile application. The candidate should be comfortable with application coding based on design and specifications. This position is also responsible for ensuring that uniform application design standards are maintained, meet SLAs and collaborates with other internal IT teams to ensure aligned with business requirements.
What You'll Be Working On-
* Working with the architects and development lead, documents and develops best practices for development, and deployment of applications, and works with members to foster growth within the team
* Predicts application development requirements based on changes in underlying architecture, effectively leverages appropriate design tradeoffs and cost/benefit analysis during design/development process
* Either individually or collectively with a team of resources, determines hardware/software systems requirements. Analyzes, designs, programs, debugs, supports, and modifies software enhancements and/or new products
* Works closely with project management, product ownership and QA to ensure that test coverage for upcoming releases is in place
* Conduct unit, system and integration testing activities
* Ensure the application is robust, optimally performance capable by periodically performing stress/load tests based on varying inputs
* Maintain/update application documentation using JIRA, Confluence
* Make process improvement recommendations
* Create and execute web service tests for back end RESTful web services
* Conducts POC for strategic and up-coming technologies
What You'll Need-
* Strong commitment to TDD (Test Driven Development) practices
* BS in Computer Science or related field and 5+ years of technical work experience
* Fluency in OO design and development with .NET. Someone who is comfortable with diverse technology stacks
* 5+ years of C# development
* 5+ years database skills including table layout and design, SQL Queries, and stored procedures - MS-SQL/MySQL. NoSQL a plus
* 5+ years exposure to debugging tools and performance tuning
* Knowledge of secure coding practices, authentication/authorization, and encryption
* Experience developing RESTful web services
* Knowledge of PCI, PII, OAuth 2.0
* Strong working knowledge of JIRA, Confluence and related technologies
