The charter of our team is to improve customer experience on the EC2 fleet by analyzing hundreds of signals and driving next-generation detection and remediation tools across the cloud using Machine Learning and Data Analytics.

A Research Scientist on this team must be comfortable working with large volumes of data and be able to manipulate data using a variety of tools. The ideal candidate possesses a good knowledge and set of hard skills across both predictive (machine learning) and prescriptive (optimization) analytics, or a deep knowledge and advanced skills in one of these two domains. Our customers are as different as the problems they would like to see solved, and the Research Scientist must be able to deal with ambiguity and shifting goals. Good verbal and written communication skills are essential.
