Job Description

Do you want to be involved in predictive models from huge volumes of past data such as customer usage, firmographic data, characteristics of services and their relations, prices, and promotions, combined with geography? Do you want to develop infinitely-scalable algorithms for machine learning on the cloud that optimize Amazon's systems using cutting edge quantitative techniques? Do you want to see your work have a huge impact to company's results?

Amazon has the world's richest collection of e-commerce data: Hundreds of millions of customers and products, billions of transactions, petabytes of data. We need your skills to help us drive adoption and optimize the AWS customer experience. A core part of our operations is forecasting: how can we use qualitative and quantitative intuitions to predict customer behavior such that we can provide our sales people the right information at the right time to reduce the sales cycle and drive faster adoption.

The Tech360 team is central to evidence-driven decision-making. We are data-centric professionals providing data through multiple access models. This team will build assumption-based prototypes to drive evidence-based requirements for applications and tools that will develop the predictive analysis for AWS customer, territory and staffing models. You will be responsible for setting and executing a research agenda that answers critical company-wide questions about our customers and sales processes, using research results to define strategy. You will aim to solve problems durably through writing, tools, processes, and programs. You will have relentlessly high standards for research on your team, and raise the bar for what rigorous, important, timely, and business-relevant research is for all data.

* Apply Statistical Learning, Data Science, Machine Learning or other innovative methods to specific business problems and data
* Collaborate with colleagues from multidisciplinary science, engineering and business backgrounds.
* Work with engineers to develop efficient data querying and modeling infrastructure
* Communicate proposals and results in a clear manner backed by data and coupled with actionable conclusions to drive business decisions
