At Postmates X, we are building the future of on-demand delivery. We are solving real-world problems related to artificial intelligence, including computer vision and decision making.

You could be working on researching through the state-of-arts and developing the right algorithm solution for a challenging problem; you could be working on taking a prototypical algorithm solution and improving the computational efficiency and reliability to prepare it for production-level deployment; you could also be working on building and maintaining the life cycle of training/deploying of machine learning models with more data or larger scale.

We don't require you to have deep experience in machine learning or industrial/academic research, but we hope you possess a data-driven mind, strong understanding of computer systems, and a passion to learn deep learning in terms of both algorithm design and implementation.

RESPONSIBILITIES

* Develop and experiment with machine learning / deep learning algorithms to solve problems in computer vision, multi-modalities fusion, and decision making.
* Maintain the life cycle of data collecting, training, and deployment of machine learning /deep learning systems.
* Build software solutions for real-world applications at scale and in real-time.

QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum qualifications:

* BA/BS degree in Computer Science, related technical field or equivalent practical experience.
* Experience with one or more general purpose programming languages including but not limited to: C/C++ or Python
* Knowledge in linear algebra, calculus, statistics, and optimization.
* Exposure to machine learning approaches.
* Ability to analyze experimental data to guide development.

Preferred qualifications:

* MS or PhD degree in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, or related technical field.
* Data analysis and visualization experience.
* Backend experience.
* Exposure to industry or academic research.
* Exposure to Deep Learning, Neural Networks, or related fields.
* Exposure to Object Detection, Semantic Segmentation, 3D Reconstruction, Image Retrieval, or related computer vision research fields.
