Job Purpose

The Gas Business Enablement project is a major long-term investment in our US gas business to enhance compliance and to improve customer service, rate case strategy and performance. This program is a significant undertaking for our business as we standardize and simplify our operational processes, upgrade the technical systems they run on, build on our compliance programs in a rapidly changing external environment, develop and enhance how we use technology in the field and ensure we have the right talent and resource plans to successfully deliver to our customers.

The Reporting Manager, Data Management role is a key role within the GBE program and will facilitate future Gas Business decisions by increasing the availability, accuracy and accessibility of informational reports. The Reporting Manager will lead a team of 3-4 Data Specialists to define reporting requirements, to develop and deliver reports on time that are complete and meet architectural criteria, and to present completed reports to business users for acceptance. This role will work with program business roles (Product Owners and Scrum Masters) to define requirements and with program technical roles (architects and developers) to develop reports that meet the needs of our business.

Key Accountabilities

* Manage IT report development in collaboration with business data teams to create operational and cross-functional reporting
* Manage on-shore and off-shore reporting resources to design, build, test and release reports compliant with business requirements and data architecture standards
* Collaborate with data architects in design of the Operational Data Store to support reports
* Develop standards and architecture in line with the Data Management Reporting Operating Model
* Participate in architectural reviews
* Review and coordinate architecture decisions with IT Architecture Team
* Review and implement opportunities for continuous improvement in processes, procedures and systems

Qualifications

* 5+ years experience managing on-shore and off-shore matrixed resources
* Demonstrated ability to partner with cross-functional teams, subject matter experts, and architects to develop processes that follow a comprehensive data governance framework and to deploy the framework across business operations
* Demonstrated ability to drive sustainable process changes that realize significant business value
* 10+ years experience with designing, establishing and supporting reporting architecture
* 10+ years database development experience with SQLServer or other database platforms
* Experience with reporting tools such as SQLServer Reporting Services (SSRS) and PowerBI preferred
* Understanding of data governance including data architecture and modeling, data quality management, data profiling, metadata management, master data management, and data integration
* Strong oral and written communication skills

Preferred Experience

* Experience in a SAFe/agile work environment
* Experience with cloud database architecture
* Experience with Agile/Lean software development process and practices
* Experience with SQLServer Analysis Services (SSAS) and business intelligence tools
