React JS Developer

6 Month+ Contract

Location: Coppell, Texas

IMMEDIATE new job opening for a React JS Developer to join our team and work on-site at our client's HQs in Coppell, Texas. This role will focus on Design Tools and be responsible for developing internal and customer facing tools using front-end and back-end technologies focused around JavaScript, in particular Node.js and React. This role requires strong experience in web and mobile web application technologies such as HTML, CSS, JavaScript, React (or similar), Node.js, JSON, REST, and Ajax. The development environment is highly collaborative and involves working within a team of developers and QA on both individual and group projects. This Position Reports to the Development Director, Design Tools.

Responsibilities

o Participates in peer code reviews

o Develops software utilizing the following technologies:

: HTML5

: CSS3 (including mobile-first responsive design)

: JavaScript

: React

: REST

: Ajax

: JSON

: Node.js, Express

: Unit testing

o Works with systems administrators to troubleshoot, diagnose and resolve production issues

o Participates on an Agile/Scrum Development Team, as well as fitting within the larger organizational processes, personnel and culture

o Ensures development deliverables are adequately tested, including the implementation of unit tests where applicable

o Partners with the Quality Assurance Team and subject matter experts to ensure that testing is complete and that ongoing testing is addressed through various levels of automated testing

o Attends and participates in development meetings

o Consistently arrives promptly to work the assigned schedule

o Responsible for maintaining discretion related to all confidential/sensitive company and customer information

o Performs other requested tasks and duties

Experience and Skills Required

o 6+ years' experience in software development with a strong JS background

o Bachelor's Degree

o Based in Dallas/Ft. Worth area

o Established competency with web 'front end' technologies (e.g. HTML/CSS/JavaScript/React) and Node.js

o Experience with libraries like Express, Koa or Hapi is a plus

o Experience with test tools like Mocha, Karma, Jasmine, Chai, Jest, or Cypress is a plus

o Experience with cross-browser dev/test tools like BrowserStack, Sauce Labs, PhantomJS, or Selenium Webdriver is a plus

o Experience with 3D is a plus

o Experience working with Agile development methodologies (Scrum), preferred

o Any experience in the following areas is a huge plus!
