Working under the direction of the Quality Engineering Manager, will be responsible for enhancing testability, developing automated test suites as well as hands on testing for graphical tools and command-line functions in data analysis toolboxes; participating in the project from its early design stages and playing a critical role in driving it to final product release; reviewing software requirements and design documents; reviewing source code modifications; modifying MathWorks code base to improve its testability; creating test plans and procedures for features that include fitting statistical models and pre- and post-processing data; partnering with development to improve development processes, developing test tools and enhancing the existing test infrastructure; writing and executing automated and manual tests for command-line and GUI functionality; and performing hands on testing for final product release.
Education and Experience:
Master's degree or higher (or foreign education equivalent) in Engineering, Computer Science, or Applied Mathematics and no experience.
Bachelor's degree (or foreign education equivalent) in Engineering, Computer Science, or Applied Mathematics and five (5) years of experience in job offered or five (5) years of experience designing test suites for statistical modeling software.
* Demonstrated expertise in algorithmic programming in MATLAB, Python, and Java. * Demonstrated expertise applying or implementing generalized linear models, including implementing graphic user interface for generalized linear models. * Demonstrated expertise writing Singular Value Decomposition (SVD) algorithms to extract feature images from predictors and Linear Discriminant Analysis (LDA) algorithms to classify images.
