Job Description

Experience with Quality Assurance (QA) practices, processes and methodologies as well as Agile software development practices working with the QA Team to provide QA support, recommending revisions to quality assurance policies and procedures and function as an advisor on all projects to provide guidance and understanding of the project's quality program. You will also be responsible for ensuring that all assigned work activities are performed in a timely and cost-effective manner while maintaining the highest quality of performance.

Responsibilities include:

* Serving as the Quality Assurance Specialist responsible for activities associated with the program's quality practices.
* Conducting audits and reviews/analyzes data and documentation.
* Enforcing the program's quality methodologies to ensure compliance with quality assurance standards, guidelines, and procedures in a large IT based organization.
* Maintaining relevant metrics that help the teams see how they are doing.
* Supporting long and short-range planning activities.
* Performing scheduled and allocated work, providing advice and guidance.
* Developing new and/or enhances existing quality processes to ensure /program quality objectives are met.
* Ensuring product quality and contractual adherence sites.

Qualifications:

* A U.S. Citizen, with a minimum interim DOD Secret clearance
* Attention to detail with a strong commitment to support a 'process-oriented' environment
* High level understanding of all elements of the software development life cycle, including planning, development, requirements management, CM, quality assurance, and release management
* Highly responsible, team-oriented individual with strong initiative, drive, and work ethic; self-starter
* Professional Experience: 2-3+ years related technical/quality assurance experience, 5 years total experience
* College degree (B.S./B.A.) in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Management Systems or a related discipline. Experience will be considered in lieu of a degree
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Desired:

* Understanding of all elements of the software development life cycle, including planning, development, requirements management, CM, quality assurance, and release management
* Experience with Agile methodology/SCRUM
* Experience with SharePoint/ Microsoft Office Suite
* Experience with Team Foundation Server (TFS)
* Experience with VersionOne
* Ability to apply quality principles, theories, and concepts, and contribute to the development of innovative principles and ideas.
