QA Test Engineer

Work you'll do

The Candidate should have a firm understanding of SDLC activities, including Requirements, Design, Development, Testing, Deployment, and Maintenance and be willing to assist with tasks in these areas as well when requested. The role requires a candidate with the ability to use testing practices, such as Black Box, White Box, Usability, Regression, and negative testing. Candidate will understands the end goal is provide the DoS with the highest quality product prior to deployment. Also, the candidate should be detail-oriented and have strong communication/interpersonal skills. Candidates with a strong background in SQL, Automated Testing, and Object-Oriented Programming is a plus.

Required Skills:

* Translate requirements into test cases and test scripts


* Document defects in high level of detail


* Participate in defect and quality assurance activities


* Actively participate in the continuous improvement of the automation strategy and frameworks


* Design, develop, and maintain test automation frameworks and scripts for testing of systems


* Create and/or support approaches for test data management and data creation using automation


* Working with QA analysts and software developers to triage and analyze defects



Desired Skills:

* Developing and reporting test automation


* Design and write automation test scripts


* Develop automation scripts for testing of systems


* Integration of test automation capabilities into a DevOps process
