Works with project teams to ensure overall software quality is monitored and maintained and/or validates system QA standards necessary to execute test plans and procedures for acceptance testing of new or modified applications/systems. Has some interaction with business area execs, vendors and operations execs in determining whether systems and system components, including hardware, networks, system software, tools, and applications are appropriate and/or ready for implementation. Fosters stable support framework for development teams and business units in the area of quality control and the development of new or revised applications. May provide guidance in the creation of standard test environments, tests plans, and test scripts. Analyzes, designs, documents new or modified QA procedures and standards and assists in the development and implementation of QA metrics for assessing the quality of delivered applications and information systems. Provide resolution to an assortment of problems complex in scope, related to Quality Assurance projects. Individual contributor role. Typically requires 5-7 years of applicable experience. This job code is only to be used for associates supporting Capital Markets.

Role and Responsibilities

Participate in quality assurance. Ensure IS products and services meet requirements. Identify where quality and assurance policies & procedures need to be changed and/or developed. Conduct reviews and audits of projects and subcontractors. Ensure deliverables meet audit criteria. Evaluate and review products and processes. Provide status to Lead Quality Assurance and management to resolve issues. Communicate and endorse adherence to standards and monitor adherence. Resolve problems and review quality assurance initiatives and ensure objectives are attained. Plan and estimate Quality Assurance for new projects. Develop, publish, review and implement test plans and test approach documents. Write, maintain and help automate software testing.

Essential Skills

* Exceptional QA analytical skills with emphasis on test plan creation, planning and execution
* Exceptional manual Testing skills
* Knowledge or experience of agile development (e.g. XP, SCRUM, Kanban) and continues integration
* Excellent problem solving and analytical skills in a high-pressure environment
* Must possess a solid degree in Computer Science, Physics, Engineering, Mathematics or relevant analytical degree
* Understanding of Messaging Middleware concepts, usage and application
* Candidate must be a strong team player with excellent communication skills
* Solid knowledge of contemporary development processes, build environments and testing tools
* Comfortable in communicating with business users

Desired Skills

* Experience creating automated tests (i.e. Cucumber, Selenium, custom frameworks)
* Experience working in a front office e-trading platform development team
* Experience working with global development teams
* Electronic trading application testing skills
* 3+ years of experience with QA testing of enterprise systems
* Experience testing large scale order execution and trading platforms
