QA Analyst
Aisle Rocket Studios (ARS) is looking for a QA Analyst to join our creative team. At ARS you'll have the opportunity to build state-of-the-art platforms for Fortune 500 companies. Projects will range from e-commerce experiences, brand showcases and social networks. To support these amazing applications, we need a fundamentally sound QA analyst. Qualifications
* At least 2 years experience working as a Quality Assurance Analyst
* Prior experience manually testing/QAing for the web with an interest in QA automation
* Good understanding of experiences built for the web and knowledge of the common issues/pitfalls/limitations associated with web technologies
* Familiarity with HTML5, CSS3 and JavaScript
* A keen eye to spot UI/UX inconsistencies between design and implementation across multiple browsers, responsive layers and devices, including using emulators/testing suites when necessary
* Ability to thoroughly explain and write bug tickets
* Passion for discovering why and how things work, and critically determining ways to break them
* A multitasker who can handle quick turnarounds from assorted projects across several clients and still meet deadlines
* Experience with agile project management approach via software systems (e.g., Trello, Wrike, Teamwork, JIRA, etc.)
* Ability to think from an end-user perspective with experience writing user stories
* Release Management of projects from all stages of development through deployment
* Experience working with D2C and Content Management Systems, Shopify, BigCommerce, Magento and AEM
* Strong interpersonal communication skills with team members across all departments (Account, Copy, Design, Development)
* Experience working with virtual machines and cloud testing services like BrowserStack
Nice-to-Have Skills
* Experience working in a fast-paced agency with the drive to keep learning and improving skills
* Proofreading/copy editing skills are a major plus
* Experience with test-driven development, and creating and implementing strong testing plans
* Ability to write automated testing scripts (Selenium, Nightwatch, etc.)
* Proficiency testing mobile applications in both Android and iOS for phones and tablets
* Basic knowledge of at least one back-end coding language, such as Node, Ruby, Java, Python or PHP
* Ability to understand and execute performance tests and to work with the team in finding a solution
* Experience testing responsive emails by using emulation tools such as Litmus
* Data analysis through analytics tools such as Google Analytics
* Understanding of DevOps processes (security scans, vulnerability management, security auditing, PCI compliance, other policy compliance)
* Familiarity using New Relic to monitor servers and applications
* Experience with a variety of testing types (e.g., exploratory, functional, integration, performance, load, etc.)
