Python EngineerLocation: McLean, VA
Long-term 1+ year contract
Immediate new job opening as a Python Engineer to work onsite at our client's global headquarters in McLean, VA.
Responsibilities
o Responsible for developing and deploying distributed computing Python, Spark applications using Open Source frameworks
o Requirement gathering and converting into Technical specification document
o Create custom programs for data processing
o Creation of jobs for scheduling the batches
o Develop high volume transaction processing solutions
o Hands-on development using and migrating data to cloud platforms such as AWS
o Analytical approach to problem-solving; ability to use technology to solve business problems
Requirements
o 3+ years of Python Development
o Primary Skill - Python, Spark and AWS , Secondary Skill - Java
o 5+ years of SQL experience, with emphasis in Data Analysis
o Proficiency in relational database design and development
o Minimum experience in Core technology (Python, Spark) - 3 to 4 Years, 2 to 3 Years AWS (S3, Redshift)
o Should have good knowledge on SQLs
o Should have exposure to working in Agile methodology
o Should have good analytical skills
o Should be a good team player
o Excellent Communication Skills
