Job Description
Job DescriptionSkillStorm is seeking a Python Developer for one of our clients in Chicago, IL.
* Member of a team responsible for support and maintenance development of three Python applications whose functions consist largely of data transformation.
* Will work under the direction of more senior team members who are experts in these applications. Required to investigate reports of problems with the applications and to develop solutions, which will include both procedural work-arounds and program changes.
* Will be required to learn, from documentation and working code, the client proprietary Quartz environment (comprising APIs, tools and development procedures) for Python programming.
* Must be able to participate in code reviews and team design discussions. Must be able to discuss problems with people who report them.
* Must have good problem diagnosis skills, particularly for data processing / data transformation, in addition to programming.
* Must be able to design and develop unit tests.
